The Kitchen Sink is Skagway's only second-hand clothing store. In a rural community with limited opportunities to recycle clothes, The Kitchen Sink gives residents the chance to give their unwanted things new life. The Kitchen Sink partnered with Good Neighbor Volunteers in 2023, and together we aim to better support community members in need. We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.

The Kitchen Sink was started in 2020 by the FOE Eagles Auxiliary. After less than 6 months, we had to move out of the Eagles space, and The Kitchen Sink wanted to go in its own direction. The Auxiliary also realized it wasn't feasible to run a non-profit business on top of what they already do. Thus, a partnership was formed with the Skagway Development Corporation under their Community Development Services program. The SDC-CDS kept TKS going until we could become our own 501(c)(3) which happened in 2023 when we joined forces with Good Neighbor Volunteers, an existing, yet non-functioning 501(c)(3) in Skagway.
